  • What is logo/design trademark?
While a word mark protects your brand name in form of text word only, adding a logo or design mark will protect the style in of your brand name, the way you write it, the letters, numbers, and the image elements. If you register for design mark as well, nobody will be able to copy your logo as well. Almost all major brands register for both, word and design mark. We advise our clients to file from both marks since this offers a complete protection to a brand name.
  • What are the specifications of the logo?
A design or logo may be rejected if it does not satisfy some requirements. The logo has to satisfy certain rules, size and file formats. An example, the designed logo cannot contain any mark with "TM" or "R". The logo has to be prepared in proper ratio, resolutions and must be in certain file formats. We advise, you may contact a professional logo designer who is experienced in designing Canadian trademark eligible logos. This will prevent post-filing hassles and delay. If you don't have such a designer, our logo designer is a professional one who designs many trademark logos daily.
